Working style: Hybrid – Works part from Broadside and part from home.

Medway Youth Justice Service is seeking a dynamic and inspirational Youth Justice Operational and Performance Manager to lead our multidisciplinary team. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in delivering high-quality, child-centred and victim-focused services that reduce offending, safeguard children, and support positive futures.

 

You will provide operational leadership across the service, oversee performance and quality assurance, manage and develop staff, and work closely with partners across children's services, health, education, police and the wider criminal justice system. You will also play a key role in driving service improvement, ensuring excellent practice and representing the service at strategic partnership forums.

We are looking for a confident and ambitious leader with strong experience of youth justice, safeguarding, partnership working and performance management, who shares our commitment to the Child First approach and delivering the best possible outcomes for children, families and victims.

Candidates will be offered a competitive basic salary between £52,921 and £57,554 per annum, dependant on your experience, and the potential to earn up to £67,554 per year when market premiums and retention are applied.

About You

  • You will hold a recognised Social Work qualification eg. Degree in Social Work, PGC in Social Work, CQSW, DipSW or equivalent and be registered with Social Work England.
  • You will have successfully completed your ASYE.
  • You will have a full driving licence and access to a vehicle for work purposes (including business use for carrying passengers).
