Job Introduction
We are currently recruiting an Experienced Social Worker to join our 16+ Care Leavers Service. We are proud to be ‘Good’ in Medway and are determined to build on the great work that has been done so far to improve the services for our children, young people and families.
You will provide a high quality and effective professional casework service for young people in care as they transition to independence, taking responsibility for working and managing a caseload within a framework of appropriate supervision, dependent upon the complexities of these cases and the social worker’s experience.
This role is a case holding role of 16, 17 and 18 year old young people in care. You will have knowledge of care proceedings and will support young people by ensuring pathways are followed, prior to leaving care and handing over to a Personal Advisor within the team
About You
- You will hold a degree in Social Work – CQSW, DipSW or equivalent and be registered with Social Work England.
- You will have successfully completed your ASYE and have a minimum of 1 years’ practice as a social worker or 2 years’ practice as an experienced social worker, working with children and families.
- You will have a full driving licence and access to a vehicle for work purposes.
