Quality Assurance Officer

Job Introduction

An exciting opportunity has come up to be part of the Quality Assurance and Commissioning Team, within Children’s Commissioning. The Quality Assurance and Contract Officer will be responsible for contract monitoring and performance management of a range of contracts and services for health and social care, and Education. The successful candidate will work closely with the external providers and professionals, social workers, senior management and regulatory bodies to ensure problems are resolved in a timely and effective manner. 

 

We are looking for an enthusiastic, well-organized individual, who has excellent communication skills and is able to work well in fast-paced and high-pressure environments. 

 

As part of this role, you can expect to undertake the following tasks:

 

  • Quality Assurance visits to commissioned services.
  • Producing improvement plans/actions plans to support quality improvement.
  • Liaising with key teams in Medway Council such as, LADO, SEN, social work teams, senior management.
  • Developing relationships with external stakeholders and professionals.
  • Developing and maintaining robust quality assurance processes in line with up-to-date regulations and legislation.
  • Providing Children’s Access to Resources with up to date and accurate information on providers to support their placements searches.
  • Monitoring and increased quality assurance oversight on complex/high risk placements. 
  • Supporting with commissioning programmes and projects.
  • Leading on complex safeguarding cases and holding providers/services to account in line with quality and regulatory standards.
  • Working in partnership with Jersey Council to deliver robust quality assurance oversight for Jersey Council Placements.

Commissioning are seeking to appoint a Quality Assurance Officer.  You can demonstrate knowledge, experience and skills to allow you to perform within this role.  You will identify, through application, how you meet the elements detailed within the person specification, at either Level A, B or C.   You will be supported to develop in your role through induction, probation and a supportive Performance Appraisal and Career Conversation. Through your induction you will be introduced to the Career Progression Framework (CPF), which will help you to identify your areas of strength and any development needs.
