About this role
As a Young Carer Programme Coordinator your responsibilities would include: -
- leading and coordinating services working in partnership with local schools and voluntary organisations to provide support and group activities for young carers.
- assessments, planning and facilitating workshops to improve young carers wellbeing and confidence building.
About you
To be successful in this role you will need:
- experience of working with young people (ideally with vulnerable groups or carers) either, one-to-one or in group settings
- an understanding of young carers and their issues
- excellent communication and interpersonal skills
The location for the position is flexible, but candidates must be willing to work from community venues and have flexibility to work outside of normal working hours to meet the needs of young carers in Medway.
