Team Leader - Eden House

Job Introduction

Medway Council understands and recognises the need to have its own high-quality in-house Children’s residential provision. As such we are opening a new children’s home.

We are looking to recruit an experienced and committed residential Team Leader to manage the day to day running of a new children’s home, providing exceptional leadership to a team of experienced senior and support workers.

The team will provide a loving caring environment for children with behavioural and emotional difficulties. There is scope to develop the provision in the future.

The working environment is exceptional, with excellent facilities including a large garden with vegetable plots and a small orchard; there is ample car parking for staff and visitors. The interior has been renovated to a high standard and provides space for children to engage in a variety of activities.

About you

  • Educated to GCSE standard.
  • NVQ 3 – Level 3 Diploma (QCF) qualified in Children and Young People’s workforce (or equivalent).
  • Experience of small budgetary responsibilities
  • Experience of multi-agency working
  • Have experience of working in a children’s residential setting. With experience in a senior/supervisory role
  • Ability to demonstrate an understanding of trauma informed care.
  • You will hold a full driving licence.
