Senior Public Health Manager - Healthy Weight (Internal Candidates Only)

Job Introduction

Are you ready to lead a passionate team dedicated to improving lives through better nutrition, healthier lifestyles, and community-driven change? We’re looking for an inspiring and strategic leader to manage our Healthy Weight Team and oversee the Medway Food Partnership—two vital pillars in our mission to reduce health inequalities and promote long-term wellbeing.

In this exciting role, you’ll be responsible for delivering a range of impactful interventions that empower individuals and families to make informed choices about their diet and lifestyle. From tackling obesity and diabetes to preventing cardo vascular disease, your work will help shape healthier futures across the community. By promoting healthy eating habits and increasing physical activity from an early age, you’ll play a key role in reducing the burden on health and social care services.

You’ll also take the lead in driving the strategic direction and implementation of the local Food Partnership.

This means working collaboratively with a diverse network of stakeholders, including community groups, local businesses, and residents to build a sustainable, healthy, and accessible food system for all. You’ll facilitate partnership meetings, champion food-related initiatives, and ensure alignment with broader local and national health and wellbeing strategies.

If you’re a natural collaborator with a passion for public health, a talent for strategic thinking, and a commitment to making a real difference, we’d love to hear from you. Join us and help lead the way to a healthier Medway.

You will need access to your own car to attend setting across Medway and Kent and this role is a Hybrid role which requires regular office attendance.
