Payroll Officer

Job Introduction

The Payroll, Pensions and HR Systems team at Medway are a diverse and supportive team with lots of exciting change ahead.   We would love to welcome another team member to join us and get stuck into a wide variety of pay and pensions work.

We operate a hybrid working model with flexibility around hours and can consider working patterns that total between 25 and 37 hours per week.

 

What we need from you;

You will need to be tenacious yet sensitive as we deal with a wide range of stakeholders and the ability to explain detail in a clear and simple manner is essential.  

The position will also include end-to-end processing of several payrolls, day to day pensions administration and the opportunity to shape new procedures and feel a real sense of achievement and belonging.

 

You will have demonstrable ability to interpret legislation, statutory guidance, and good practice in relation to administration processes.  We use a variety of MS Office products in our daily work so you must be proficient in using Excel, Word and Teams.

 

Experience within the payroll field is essential for this role and experience with LGPS and educational payrolls would be a distinct advantage.  Training on our in-house systems will be provided.
