Job Introduction

Medway Safeguarding Children Partnership (MSCP) is seeking to recruit a full-time Apprentice (Business Administration Level 3 Advanced) to join our busy team.
 
 The MSCP is set up under the Children Act 2004. It co-ordinates how agencies work together to safeguard and protect children, and monitors how well they are doing. The MSCP is made up of senior professionals from partner agencies such as Kent Police, Medway Council, NHS Kent and Medway and Schools.
 
 The MSCP Apprentice will help support the day to day administration of the partnership with a focus on supporting the various training opportunities offered by the MSCP including virtual and face to face events and multi-agency conferences. The role is largely office based although the apprentice will have the opportunity to attend and minute multi agency meetings and network with a wide range of professionals in different positions from a variety of services.
 
 We will provide support and induction training for those appointed and other training opportunities, which will enable our apprentice to increase their skills and understanding of issues affecting the safeguarding of children.

For Level 3 Apprentices - The Business Administrator Apprenticeship is a two year programme incorporating real work experience and learning, to gain the knowledge and development of skills and behaviours to successfully complete the programme. This apprenticeship involves approximately 18 months on the job development, followed by an end point assessment consisting of a knowledge test, a presentation on the project completed; and a discussion on the portfolio of learning and development produced during the apprenticeship. A grading of either Pass or Distinction is achievable.
 
Ideally you will have good communication and interpersonal skills, combined with competent IT skills, accurate data entry along with a good attention to detail. However, we are happy to support you to reach those goals if you are highly motivated and have the desire to learn and succeed.
