Head of Facilities Management Delivery

Job Introduction

Regeneration Division is looking for a dynamic individual with a proven track record of driving cultural change and ready to make a difference from day one. The successful candidate will provide operational leadership for the Council’s Facilities Management (FM) function, overseeing the delivery of highquality FM services including planned and reactive maintenance, compliance, and minor works, while ensuring our business assets meet all legal and regulatory standards.

 

As part of this role, the postholder will work closely alongside the Technical Services Manager, Capital Programme Manager, and Marine Assets Manager, collaborating across disciplines to ensure a cohesive, efficient, and forwardthinking approach to asset and service management. A key responsibility will be leading significant change management activity associated with the insourcing of staff transferring from the current Joint Venture, ensuring a smooth transition, embedding new ways of working, and shaping a positive, unified team culture.

 

Are you a firstrate communicator, highly organised, and with a strong track record of delivering key projects? Do you have experience in complex FM delivery and technical briefs, including consultant procurement, contract design and tendering, as well as the operational management of service delivery? If yes, this could be the role for you.

 

This is a highprofile position reporting to the Strategic Service Manager for Facilities Management and Capital Projects. It provides a unique opportunity for the incoming postholder to influence and shape how the service meets current and future operational requirements of the Council, while leading a busy, multidisciplinary team of FM professionals and providing expert guidance across the service.
