Family Network Meeting Coordinator

Job Introduction

Medway council are looking for an enthusiastic family network co-ordinator to join the team. 

 

The Family Network Coordinator will; 

  • Plan and facilitate family led safety plans in accordance with nationally agreed standards of practice.
  • Arrange contact with families, including extended family members and family networks, to prepare for the family led safety planning meeting. Working towards quick and pressured timescales to ensure assessment work can continue and not be delayed.
  • Undertake all relevant organisational activities which will include arranging the family led safety planning meeting, facilitating the running of the meeting, producing the plan, collating, and sharing correspondence from the meeting.
  • Support families to develop their own family led safety plan which demonstrates SMART outcomes (Specific, Measurable, Attainable Relevant and Timely).
  • Adopt flexible working whilst maintaining appropriate boundaries in provision of support, advice, and conflict resolution to families.
  • Prioritising workflow to ensure immediate response can be given when complex priority cases are referred.
  • Maintain appropriate records of work with families to ensure that they meet with Medway’s Information Governance policy and standards. It is important that all times contact recording reflects the child’s journey and will enable the child to ‘make sense’ of the decisions made for them. 
  • To attend partnership meetings within the FGC service and wider directorate of Medway.


A full UK driving license plus access to a vehicle for business purposes is essential for this role.
